The entire month of August was pretty solidly spent in the studio working on Sarah Grace's album. it's been a great learning experience and also a hell of a lot of work. It's kept me pretty firmly off the website because most days it doesn't finish until after 11pm... I'll be working on the album until the second week of October and after then I promise a lot of updates on the website and on YouTube...
In the meantime, for any of you who need bass inspiration, go and check out everything that Anthony Jackson and Pino Palladino ever played on. That should keep you occupied for a while.. |

Everything is a bit mad at the minute and I'm only finding a little time to update the news... I really should have sorted the gigs page out but I couldn't find time. So here's the latest: I'm producing an album for Sarah Grace. It's gonna be awesome. I've just been to Spain doing Wing Chun up a mountain for a week. That was awesome. I'm currently playing jazz for a week in Sardinia, sun-kissed and mosquito-eaten. Still awesome. I have 1 week back in London and then off to Nice to play with Rom D. You know by now... it's gonna be ... awesome. Then back to London and teaching for the IGF. Then off to Bath teaching for the IGF alongside Doug Wimbish. Then in September, off to the USA with Judy Lewis. Madness. I'll try to blog here as often as I can... Dave |
